Writer's Block: Part deux

Which movie sequel do you like better than the first, and why?

The Dark Knight is better than Batman Begins, but that's just because Heath Ledger made that movie for me. If Ledger wasn't in it, I would probably still be complaining that Christian Bale ruined Batman for me. (Don't get me wrong, I don't really have a problem with Bale as an actor, {I still can't believe it took me so long to see the Machinist, he owned that role.} I simply prefer the Batmans {Batmen? haha!} I grew up with.) But at the same time, the Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhaal switch still irritates me. It's just frustrating how replaceable women characters seem to be in action movies. Who needs Holmes? Get me a hot brunette stat! That said, I wish Gyllenhaal had always been Rachel Dawes, Holmes will *always* be Joey from Dawson's Creek and I can't get past it. It's not her fault, I just can't take her seriously because I get stuck in the After-School Special mindset as soon as she appears on-screen. I'll probably always been a bit biased towards Gyllenhaal, she seems to be such an interesting person off-screen that I can't help but want to see who else she can be on-screen.
