What always makes you laugh?

Thinking about giant alien robots fucking at times where the subject is very highly innappropriate.
Like while i'm singing carols out in public, or on stage, or at my grandmas house or somewhere totally boring in public, or around children. Mostly i find it funny that no one has any idea that that's what i'm thinking about and if they knew it would freak them the fuck out.

I may have told everyone this but I pretty much laugh at anything. To me, everyone has a unique humor, and in their own kind of way, know just how to make me laugh. If it's being pervy or just taking shit seriously, it's all funny. I for one, love my laugh/love hearing myself laugh. <3

Well, I'm the type of person who would laugh at almost anything that's supposed to be humorous. Meaning: I wouldn't laugh at somebody's death or something tragic like that. But what's guaranteed to make me laugh? Anything that Jules says. He is so funny at times. My Mother sometimes worry because of how much I laugh while talking to him.... :3

Writer's Block: Operation Giggles

My friends always make me laugh. Tonight, I went to dinner with my friends Ryne, Jenna, and Steven for my birthay. We had just walked in our homecoming parade for theatre and we had basically dehydrated ourselves. Our teacher bought us all Route 44's from Sonic and I'm pretty sure we all drank them in .5 seconds. After walking in the heat in costumes and drinking that really quickly, we weren't very hungry so we got the buffet at dinner and then ended up not eating a whole lot. It was more, eat for half an hour and then sit there and talk for another hour and a half. It was really fun and I was laughing the whole time. I'm pretty sure my face was red by the time we left. And then we went to our homecoming game and contemplated keying a guys car. But we were good and we didn't do it. I freaking love my friends. I wish most of them weren't graduating this year. And I wish I wan't graduating next year. I don't want the seniors to leave, I don't want to leave all of my Junior friends next year after graduation, and I don't want to leave my Sophomore/Freshman friends. It's awful. :(

Да, часто! Я ещё и пишу стихи!
Читаю... пишу...
ищу смысла какого...
Но не нахожу.
Как- то всё бестолково!
Похоже на крысу внутри колеса,

Writer's Block: And the forecast is…

I love storms. when its hot and sticky and it feels like the weather will never break, then the first fat drops of rain start falling slowly on the dry earth, and then its raining so hard you can't hear yourself think, and the thunder's hammering against the ground and the lightning's flickering across the sky. I love storms like that and we don't get them often enough, here.

Autumn is nice, when it's soft and misty. Mellow.

But today was glorious! 29 degrees. hot sun and blue sky. It's the end of September and we spent all day in bikinis. Went to Hyde Park and it was beautiful, best weather we've had all summer. Lying in the sun and it's nearly October! Hope this weather sticks around for a bit.

Болеть - это плохо, но один раз я эмитировал давление: надо очень сильно напрячь колени, и тогда оно поднимается, Вам вкалывают в попу укол и отпускают домой.

What's your favorite vegetarian meal?

Vegetarian lasagna, by far. ♥ And I make really good ricotta-and-spinach Canelloni as well, which is similar to the lasagna (but with fewer ingredients.)

Then again, technically those both have eggs and cheese in them. So I guess it depends on what degree of vegetarianism you're talking about. Haha.

Funny this should come up.  Just today I decided to restart my vegetarianism.  In fact, I'm going to shoot for vegan.  I'm going to eat the rest of what's in the house, but I'm not buying any more animal products.  I went shopping tonight and got a bunch of good stuff.

One favorite vegetarian meal?  There are too many.  I really love avocadoes: guacamole, avocado sandwiches, avocadoes mixed into burritos with read beans & rice... But my favorite vegetable overall has to be poblano peppers.  I bought one tonight. and I am determined to learn to cook with them, dagnabbit.  Oh, and eggplant, I really love eggplant.  That's another one, the preparation of which I am resolved to master.  I've finally gotten good about eating at home; it's time to get serious about learning to cook things I like to eat.  If I don't keep my rather restless palate engaged, I will fall off the wagon. I know that.  Cheese is going to be the hardest thing to let go.  I have a taste for cheeses.  Got to keep lots of nuts and other oily things on hand to deal with that craving.

Oh my god oh my god, there are so many things that make me laugh. I still laugh at words like "poop", and "Blue-footed booby", so I'm pretty easily entertained. There's one thing that never fails to make me smile and laugh though, and it's this gif:

What’s the best way to mend a broken heart?

Grieving- a lot of people don't actually grieve the loss of the person they loved and instead tend to wallow in their misery and loneliness. It's not the end of the world, even though the anguish often makes it feel like it should be. Life will carry on, even if you kill yourself...

Another thing to remember though, you don't automatically deserve 'better' nor are you better than the person that left you. They are also entitled to happiness; you don't automatically make them as happy as they make you.

Just some food for thought.

Any comedy show where Kenneth Williams was on top form never fails to make me laugh. I espesialy love the silly characters he played in Hancock's Half Hour. My favourite has to be when he comes around to Hancock to complain about his dog burying things in the back garden. And when Hancock asked what the dog had buried Kenny's character says "Me!" in the most dim witted playful kind of voice. He would have been around sooner to complain but it took him a couple of days to get out of the ground! haha :D

What's your favorite vegetarian meal?
Indian cuisine provides lots of delicious variety in vegetarian and vegan cuisine.  Two of my favorites are dal and aloo gobi.

Dal in Hindi simply mean "lentil," and lentils come in a variety of types:  brown, black, yellow, green and red are the more common ones found in stores.  To make a dal you simply take the lentils, cook them in water with tumeric and salt  When they are finished one adds a tadka, an oil that has been cooked briefly with spices such as cinnimon, garam masala, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and dried red chili pepper.

After the oil has been saturated with the seeds and spice, then just add some ginger, garlic, onions, fry til the onions are softened, and then dump it into the lentils and mix it throughly.   I usually take a whisk and mash up the lentils a bit. Serve with basmati rice, dinner is done.

Dal is very healthy -- the lentils provide lots of fiber and protien, and the oil provides healthy unsaturated fats along with the positive influence of the spices.  Fat-phobic Americans might say "oil!  Ahhhh!  FAT!" but quite honestly, getting healthy fats from olive, grapeseed or canola oil is a good thing for your body, in proper moderation of course.

Aloo gobi means "potatoes and califlower" in Hindi, and is exactly what it sounds like.  Aloo gobi is very easy to make as well.  Take some oil (three tablespoons or so) and throw some cumin seeds in and watch them pop.  Then add chopped onion and garlic and fry til transluscent.

When that's done, put in the pieces of potato, add tumeric, garam masala, ginger, coriander, mix, cover the pot, and cook on low for 15 or so minutes.  Then add the pieces of califlower, mix well, cover the pot and let sit another 20 minutes til the potato and califlower are nice and soft.  Serve with basmati rice and naan.

Corny jokes, blond jokes... um, there's a picture on my iPod of this little green dude and the caption says "MY BELLY BUTTON ROCKS." The song I Love Chocolate Milk by ScribbleMonster&HisPals. My friends, being tickled, other people's laughter.

Oh my goodness, I crack up at striped green turtle-neck sweaters every single time I see them. And I want to just burst out singing that song on Spongebob. And my sis just gives me this look. Yeah.

Everything makes me laugh if I'm in one of my moods, actually. (Heh, I have actually laughed because my friend said potato.)

What else? ... Facial expressions. Some of the things that happen to my friends (As long as it's not terrible.)

Unfortunately, the ex still manages to make me laugh until I cry.

Life. It makes me laugh. And quotes.

EVERYTHING!!!! God I find the worst things funny too. The other day a woman was dropping her kid off at school and popped her tire when she drove into the curb; I immediately started to laugh and received dirty looks from the other parents. But I also laugh at stupid shit I do, I've walked into doors that were locked and began laughing hysterically much to my friends dismay. And God help anyone, myself included, who trips and falls infront of me cuz I'll pretty much fall down laughing. I still find the Three Stooges hilarious and I absolutely LOVE making fun of people, Dane Cook is one of my favorite comedians for this.

They say laughter is the best medicine and with all the crazy shit that has gone on in my life, having a sense of humor (no matter how twisted) is a sanity saving thing.

What's your favorite vegetarian meal?

Since the question says 'meal' rather than 'food' I'll assume the questioner means 'vegan' and wants something that makes sense as a meal thematically (ie: no palak paneer with falafel). This meal is also gluten-free save possible traces in soy sauce.

Tofu agedashi, 100% buckwheat soba, miso soup with konbu-based dashi, spinach ohitashi with konbu-based dashi and seaweed on top, nankoume, sprouted brown koshihikari, gyokuro. Soft tofu with strawberries, candied ginger, and ginger-simple-syrup for dessert.

Not vegetarian, but Vegan... Vegan Pizza. I used to work with a chick that was Vegan and we would get pizza at the end of every month and they would order her her own speshul pizza but that shit was good!

I tried a few other vegan foods but they tasted like shit. Namely the vegan chocolate bars.

What's your favorite vegetarian meal?

As many of you know, I'm a vegetarian because an illness about 18 months ago left me unable to digest meat. I can do dairy -- though not as much cheese as I'd like -- eggs are tough for me. No poultry, but for some reason I can still handle fish occasionally (like once every couple of weeks). This means that I'm basically lacto-vegetarian with a fortnightly hit of fish.

When I was a kid, I loved my mother's zucchini patties. They may have been "Depression Food" (as in the Great Depression not anti-depressant), but they were also comfort food.

As an adult, my standard meal in the evening (because it's cheap and quick) is whole grain pasta with a simple olive oil based sauce. I start with garlic or onion in olive oil, add herbs and/or spices, throw in a third of a package of broccoli slaw (or slice up another vegetable or mushrooms to go in it), add either wine, liquor, or cider to the pan, and by the time the pasta is cooked, I have a nutritious and delicious topping for it. Sometimes I forgo the alcohol and add lemon or lime, sometimes I'll use sesame oil for the cooking, but on weeknights, this is my staple meal.

Any of these can have seitan (which I especially like with mushrooms and red wine) or tofu added to the mix.

Common variations:
onion, tarragon, white wine or sherry
onion, mushrooms, thyme, red wine
garlic, thyme, lemon peel and juice, and gin (this one needs a little water added)
garlic, onion, rosemary, canned tomatoes
garlic, gin, fresh dill added after it's all cooked (again a little water -- for hard liquors I use a tablespoon or less)
onion, sesame oil, orange peel and juice, ginger, Cointreau

Avocado and Wasabi cheese wrap. Mmm, so good <3

Basically it's a flour tortilla with mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Then cut small pieces of avocado and Wasabi cheese (Yancy's Fancy if you're in Washington) and put them up on top of the condiments. Wrap burrito style and eat.

Now I kind of want one....

<lj-template name="qotd" id="2844" lang="en_LJ" / Vegetarian? Me? I tried, I truly did...I mean, at least on giving up red meat. But I drove myself crazy. And I can't stand red meat that isn't exactly that, Bloody and red. If you over cook it, please. Take it back. I want it to be able to get up and walk if I shoot it with penicillin. But aside from the fact that I detest vegetarian diets, that doesn't mean I don't truly enjoy grilled squash and mushrooms either.

Writer's Block: Love hurts

What’s the best way to mend a broken heart?
A broken heart never mends. It just adapts, and moves on.
Once love is given, it can't be "taken back".
The pain and lose are always present, but as life goes they just become less and less important.
The what ifs aren;t asked as much or as often, but if the emotion was true, they are asked, even decades after.
It is kind of like scare tissue, a reminder.
